noun
1. (in ancient Greek belief) a divinity or supernatural being of a nature between gods and humans.
2. archaic spelling of demon.
And so the daemon pondered, looking over the Underworld. Wounded and weary, carrying the weight of the sun on his shoulders...he is lame and can climb no further.
"Do I go now into the light and let in consume me completely?

The daemon lifts himself out of his pool of blood and flesh. Seven ravens picked him mostly clean of his skin...a fresh skeleton, sulphur filling the nose holes.

"I must set my intentions, even down here, even with no soul in sight. The skin I have left will be flayed, on this cross I will spread my mortal wings"

And so a giant eagle came to him and set him free of his bondage. It too pecked at his flesh, at his rotten wings. The eagle gave him vision to see through the vail of this world.
And so the daemon started to see...
"400 DAYS & 400 NIGHTS"

"Argh...these voices wail within me, around me, like wolves howling. For 400 days and 400 nights I have not tasted mortal flesh. Today that changes."
And the daemon did indeed eat the flesh of a beast in the woods. A meat curtain of wings, his brain thrown up from two holes in his head.
"SINFUL SUMMIT"

Horns removed and horns replaced, the holes in his head filled. His meat cape now stitched to his bone as skin.
And so he seeks the summit once more...his minds eye on Lunar...all in vain...his mind is nothing but a ghost now.
